Well I am frustrated. Now I am not one for drinking water right? So this week with my hydracoach I got a ton of water in. I consider that 100% improved. However I stepped on the scale yesterday morning to what WHAT?!? that can’t be right can it? I step on it again. Holy balls Batman does it say I just gained .2? Yep it sure did. Now .2 is nothing really and I get that. However, I hear all about this water stuff and how it is key to weight loss. Yet I gain .2? So let me go back and recount my weeks steps? Did I log my food everyday and every bite? Nope I didnt. Did I eat as clean as I should have? Probably room for imporvement there. Did I have some stress? Yep Did I exercise? Well if you consider getting off the couch to go to the bathroom as exercise then sure did.
So given all this how can I have even excepted a loss. Oy. What is my issue? I know I need to get off my butt and move but I just can’t be bothered. I exercise at night and it seems like there is always something that comes up. Like last night and my sewer issue and then my son not going to bed until 10:30. Tonight I have to get a new tire on my car and run and get laundry so not sure I can workout. Oy vey.. Can my life settle a bit so I can get into a routine? Not to mention my knee is bothering me again(torn ACL for those that didn’t know).
So I am still working the Pete Cohen steps. Today is day nine. Steps I need to work on are to only eat when I am hungry and stop when I feel content and eating slow. I always feel the need to scarf my food to the point I sometimes get out of breath. Who does that right?
My successes of the week? Well I am not sure I have too many besides getting in more water for the good that did.
What I need to work on? EVERYTHING!!! I have to make time for the gym this week and log every bite that goes into my mouth. It’s a must!
Here is a song that is awesome. Listen to the words and think is this you? I do think it’s me sometimes

That is a very powerful video! I love it!
I get weeks like this, where I thought I did so good, then I don’t lose any or even gain a little
Hope next week is better for you! But on a side note, isnt the hydracoach great!! It works so well for me.
Be kind to yourself especially with a torn ACL. I tore my left one twice (soccer then falling down a mountain) and the key really is strengthening around it. I hope your doctor and physical therapist are advising you on your activity level. Try not to stress over .2 pounds. Keep drinking the H2O and working, you will see results.
Thanks for sharing that powerful video. Your post and the video are clear reminders to me that I need to act on my intentions to get what I want out of life…and sometimes taking on all of the “to dos” is overwhelming.
Cheers to you for drinking all of your water this week. That is something I have been wanting to do, but have not yet accomplished.
Karla each day is a fresh start! GREAT job on getting in your water and I know you are working on making that gruve green:) Make the little changes and they will start to add up for you!! I’m here for you and am so proud of your commitment to get healthy! xo
Small steps with routines. You have to start with something small and once it sticks just keep adding. Don’t be so hard on yourself. At least you recognize what’s going on! Good Luck.
You have identified your challenges and that is great…the hard part is now trying to change them to get you where you need and want to be. Focus small each day, putting something new into your routine. You can do it!
lmao….omg karla, we seem to have the same workout routine… couch , bathroom, kitchen , couch…
ugh, i know i need to improve on everything too..
kinda surprised to read everyone is having some struggles this week, but have to say makes me feel not so bad about my sucky week..
xoxoxo
yay for getting more water, i’m trying to get more water in. hope you have a great week
WE all have those weeks…just keep trying and you will see results.
I think it would be better if you consider working out during the day. I know it’s hard, but there are a bunch of things you can do. Also, check out the girls at @squeezeitin. They even have an iPhone app. They have exercises yu can do WITH your everyday chores. I think if you do smaller things durin gth eday, you will find yourself more motivated. XXOO
Be patient with yourself, hon. You are trying to make huge changes, here. You don’t have to do it all at once. If you find you’re having a hard time, just pick one or two things to work on and you’ll still be making changes for the positive and on the road toward success. We’re here for you!! XOXO
It sounds like you are getting a handle on your struggles and recognizing what they are. That’s an important step! Baby steps!
I hear ya. Can life please settle down a bit?
I’m glad that you’re committed to food journaling. It has made a big difference for me so far.
You can do it, girl! One step at a time.
We definitely all have this type of week! In fact, I think I have – for two weeks straight. And with a family, I don’t think it’s going to get any easier. I just have realized that I have to create the time, and that the kids will be just fine if I steal 30mins away to exercise. And, it is always, always easier said than done. I’m trying to get my activity in throughout the day – dog walk in the morning, walk over lunch – so that I’m at least moving. I enjoy your blog and hope you have a fabulous day today!
